NYC Marathon Training: Week 2 ( July 11th -17th)

My goal for this week was to run 16 miles and go to Bikram Yoga four times. Again, it was rather easy except for waking up at 5:00 am to go to class. I am finding Hal Higdon's Novice I plan too low in mileage. I am tempted to bump it up a little bit.

This was my weekly summary:

Mon: REST
Tue: 90-min Bikram Yoga at 6:00pm + 3 lunch-run (hills)
Wed: 90-min Bikram Yoga at 6:00am + 3 lunch-run (hills)
Thu: 90-min Bikram Yoga at 6:00pm + 3 lunch-run (hills)
Fri: 90-min Bikram Yoga at 6:00am
Sat: Walk for 3 hours
Sun: 7-mile run
Total: 16 miles + four 90-min BY classes

On Saturdays, we usually go to the beach and/or the pool with the kids. This Saturday, we went to the Safari Park (formerly known as Wild Animal Park) and walked for 3 hours. We enjoyed the Summer African Extravaganza and the Amazing Kenyan Acrobats performance.



On Sunday, after the 7 mile run, we went to the beach. Life is good !!
