Renewing our vows at the Rock 'N' Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon

When I was a teenager, I always joked that one day I'll marry in Las Vegas dressed like Elvis while jumping from an airplane (skydiving) and proclaiming my love in the air "Yes, I doooooooooooooooo" *free falling*. Fast-forward 23 years later, the present. I am married with two kids. I am not too excited about skydiving anymore but I am extremely passionate about running. Still, the idea of having a wedding in Las Vegas brings a smile to my face.

Imagine my reaction when I found out this year that there is such a thing as a Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon with a run-thru chapel, somewhere between miles 3-6 of the course. "Yes, I doooooooooooooooo". This is exactly how we are going to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We are renewing our vows at the race. To top it all, the Rock 'N' Roll Las Vegas Half is happening at nighttime for the first time EVER. The Strip is all ours, runners.

It's time to look for a dress for the running bride, groom and the rest of running wedding party! Calling all running clothing lines out there. Dress us up! All options will be considered. Anything goes.

  3. If RnR wasn't so flippin expensive, because it sounds like a lot of fun to run the strip at night.

Nice to meet a fellow SD runner/yogi/blogger!

  4. I know it's expensive but it's the perfect event for the occasion. I can't think of a better place / way to celebrate my 15th anniversary.

Do you practice yoga too? Where? I wish I knew how to crochet and knit too. This is your site, right? http://www.etsy.com/people/lilyogini?ref=ls_profile. I am in love with your green scarf. I want!
